I bought my 2003 new and the only thing people warned me about was the trans. I've replaced it one time and had to have the front drive shaft replaced, but I do have 180,000 on it now. The passenger window went out last fall but the window was up, so no biggie, it's starting to get warmer now so I finally bought the part online for $46. I took less than an hour, thanks to your help. I wish I would have looked up my heater door before I paid the $1200. Through it all, i would by another Grand Cherokee again, I Love it!

I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - I paid the mechanic $300 for the drivers side window a few months ago and I was able to replace the passenger side by myself using your instructions. It only cost me $75 from Autozone for the regulator. Thanks!

Thank you Josh and Lisa for publishing the instructions. 8 months ago my son's 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo was in need of a new passenger side front window regulator/motor assembly installed. The dealer wanted $300 to install. I got the new part from a reputable Jeep recycler for $100 and did the work myself in a little over an hour. This past week I replaced the driver's side assembly as well in about an hour for $60. Thanks again.

Forgot to mention... I was hit in my drivers side door and when I went to have that repaired, they threw in the window regulator also, saying that the wreck caused it (it was broke before the wreck!). The mechanic said that ordering a new motor doesn't fix it, that we have to have a whole new window. That's the only side I have replaced the actual window on, because it was included with the repairs from the wreck. I haven't looked into that much but just wanted to pass that information on...

I have had my Jeep for 2 years, and have replaced all 4 motors... Ridiculous, I know. I have done lots and lots of research and I have found the dealer to be the cheapest. I have paid an average of $78 for each of mine. I even went to junk yards and they wanted more than that.

As all the others said, I greatly appreciate it. I used a dealer to replace the front 2 windows a few years ago. I just did the left-rear. I found the part of $69.45 from AM-Autoparts (online).

The other 2 windows cost about $450-550 each. This one, $69.54 and 1 hour.

Jim:

Sorry, I never did the rear window on mine, so I wouldn't know. I just replaced 3 front window motors.

Thanks bro! That did the trick. I had originally bought a Haynes guide, but found your instructions far more informative. I never could have done it with just the Haynes guide. Thank you so much. Everything was spot on. On to the next honeydo for my wife. Yay!

Paloma - Bystolic is excellent for heart palpitations. You didn't mention the dosage? Either 5 or if necessary 10 mg. a day should eliminate the
palpitations. It seems that Lopressor loses it's effectiveness within a 24 hour period. Another great beta blocker for heart rate control is Betaxolol (10mg. a day) it's also great for PAC's, PVC's and anxiety. I've taken it in the past with great results. Bystolic effectiveness will probably surprise you. It works very quickly.
